Husky Salvage received a call from VISAR (Virgin Islands Search and Rescue) reporting a catamaran aground and taking on water on the reef outside Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Husky Chase and her crew members departed Nanny Cay Marina to assist the vessel. Three 3″ gasoline powered crash pumps were transferred to the vessel and primed. When S/V OHM SWEET OHM was buoyant enough to float off the reef, a Husky diver dived beside the vessel to help with the navigation out of the reef system and to prevent further damage to the catamaran. The catamaran along with two Husky crew members on board to monitor the pumps and the water ingress, was towed to Tortola Yacht Services boat yard to be hauled out for repairs.
